Live Music Returns to Wallingford Am. Leg. w/Make Do And Mend, Jettison – Jan. 23rd

Punk rockers Make Do and Mend, Jettison, Agent, Defeater and Summit will be performing this Saturday, January 23rd at the Wallingford American Legion. This show marks the first show at the ‘Am Leg’ since multiple noise complaints by area residents for the most part shut down shows there last summer. Previously the Wallingford Am Leg, one of many meeting/rental halls operated by the American Legion throughout the U.S., had been a hot spot for all-ages shows, primarily booked by the always impressive Manic Productions. Under the watchful eye of Manic and other area bookers, several large names passed through the relatively tiny hall space including Cap’n Jazz, Piebald, Rainer Maria, Elf Power, Mates of State, Ted Leo, and many, many more. Hopefully this show will mark the regular return music to the Am Leg, a prospect sorely needed in a scene where there isn’t that many places left to play.
