Everyone’s favorite New Haven indie-pop festival, Elm City Popfest, will be returning this Fall and NHM will be helping to make it happen! NHM/New Haven Music is happy to announce that we will be teaming up with the CT based February Records to organize another great lineup for this year’s ECPF. Earlier this year February Records head Dan Goodwin (who was the primary organizer for the first two Elm City Popfests) had some reservations about there even being a third installment, going so far as to state in a January 26, 2011 New Haven Advocate article that ‘it’s not gonna happen.’ After an intervention of sorts to get Goodwin off of the crazy pills, a preliminary meeting was held to identify the logistics involved in making ECPF 3 a reality. Alas the February Records/NHM partnership was born. Obviously at this point the festival is still in its early stages of organization but you can be assured that we hope to match if not exceed the quality of past festivals. Please stay posted to nhmusic.org and februaryrecords.com in the coming months for more information about Elm City Popfest 2011!
