AN HISTORIC, THE BOOK SLAVE, FERAL FLOWERS, FAIRY BOY & THE OFFICIAL SUCKERS, MOGLI @ Elm City Infoshop – March 2nd

Elm City Infoshop, a ‘space for radical organizing and counterculture in New Haven, CT.’ that sometimes pops up in Neverending Books, has been holding some low-key shows in recent months. Typically on weekdays, and with a Vegan-only potluck to spice things up, these shows are generally an acoustic affair, focusing on solo and/or off the map performers. This week’s ECI show features locals An Historic (a.k.a. Adam Matlock, ‘dream and/or soul punk), The Book Slave (‘stripped down shoegaze epics’) and Feral Flowers (‘magic with a mountain dulcimer’) paired with Canada’s Mogli and Fairy Boy And The Official Suckers, who are both currently on tour. As with previous shows, this billing starts (6:30pm) and ends (11:00pm) on the early side. A suggested donation of $5 goes straight to the touring bands so they can get to their next show. And while you’re there, make sure to peruse the Infoshop’s collection of mind-expanding radical literature (you never know what you might find!).
